About Machon, Timothy J.
DR. TIMOTHY MACHON graduated magna cum laude from LaSalle University. He earned his medical degree from Temple University Medical School in Philadelphia and completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Lankenau Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
Although Dr. Machon delivers babies at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, he has earned a reputation as the go-to doctor for robotic surgery, particularly complicated cases of large fibroids, endometriosis, complex cases and conditions of genital prolapse. He also performs outpatient robotic hysterectomies. Dr. Machon has done about 1,600 robotic surgeries. “In the last 12 years, I’ve rarely had to convert anyone to an old-fashioned surgery,” he says, even for difficult procedures, where there is a 25 percent chance of having to revert to older techniques. He has a very high success rate with the advanced, precise procedures. Robotic surgery means having small incisions and quicker recovery, allowing patients to go home the same day and letting them get back on their feet sooner.
